New daily fishing quest rewards

Has anyone done the Nagrand fishing quest yet? I tried it before work but after fishing for 20 minutes with a character with max fishing skill and 10 minutes with another character with lower skill and in a different body of water, I never caught the World's Largest Mudfish. I had to start getting ready to head out for work so I didn’t get to try any longer.

I was catching the same types of fish in both locations, including regular mudfish, and since the quest text only specifies Nagrand I’m assuming it doesn’t mater which body of water we fish in. I just wanted to make sure the world’s largest mudfish is actually swimming in the waters there.

For those who don’t do a lot of fishing, the waters in Nagrand require a higher level of fishing than those nasty pools in Hellfire. Farli, my male dwarf hunter, had 308 base fishing. Using his +20 pole and the +100 lure I’d guess about three fourth of the fish were getting away. My druid’s fishing skill is below 300 so I doubt it’ll be worth his time to do the quest there, but I’ll give it a shot just in case.

That was my first thought as well, there are no fishing spots in Hellfire. But then I remembered the pools. Fishing in them is rather like fishing in Undercity, it’s possible but the though rather turns the stomach. I would recommend fishing in the back part of the pools, next to the platform where the named quest NPC spawns. The water is deeper there. Only one winged demon spawns there and if you stand in the right spot you won’t even agro him. There are also no slimes in that area, which are a pain to deal with. And that giant, clanking, felreaver doesn’t stomp that far in like he does at the start of the pools.

Oh, you know me too well. *grins* The funny thing about Cashara is that she started out as a bank alt, thus her name Cash-ara though I pronounce it Ca-shara now. About a year later a friend started playing WoW. So I started playing Cashara as she was about the same level. And even though my human rogue was my first level 60 and I already had a couple of level 60 hunters, Cashara ended up being my first level 70 character.

Wow, Blizzard really did the daily fishing quest right. I like all the goodies we can get.
